Weed and Crabgrass Control

Left untreated, crabgrass and broadleaf weeds can crowd out the good grass that you want to have growing in your lawn. Not only will this lead to unhealthy turf, but it will detract from the looks of your property as well.

With pre-emergent treatments, we can help to stop crabgrass from growing in the first place. And with post-emergent treatments, we can keep broadleaf weeds such as clover, henbit, dandelion, spurge and wild geranium from gaining a foothold in your turf.

Insect Control

The insect pests that attack lawns can be divided into three general categories: below-ground (root feeders); thatch-dwellers (crown and stem feeders); and above-ground (blade or leaf feeders). With regular inspections and properly timed treatments, Mickey’s Montauk Mowing can put a stop to these hungry insects before any serious damage is done.

Grub Management

There are several types of white grubs that feed on the roots of lawn grasses, and they won’t disappear on their own. They should be treated by Mickey’s Montauk Mowing before damage begins to appear, or as soon as they’re discovered. When discovered early enough in the year, a preventative treatment can be applied. When damage appears in the fall, a fast-acting curative treatment will be needed.
